This waterproof hooded shell jacket is soft to the touch and durable under the rain, great for adventures in the mountains in wet conditions. The Dryvent fabric wicks moisture and repels snow, hail, and rain, so that can remain concentrated for the whole day. The back of the neck and the brushed fabric chin guard provide a sensitive comfort as you battle your way to the top and adjustable, at the same time, the elements offer a comfortable fit at all times. Two covered zip pockets hood adjustment of safety, elastic cord and the elasticated cuffs, hem, heat transfer logo. Durable water repellent finish (DWR).

I already had a black insulated jacket and wanted something a bit lighter for the summer months when it rains. Great jacket which is lightweight and quality product that will keep you dry.I find the sizes are always one size down from what you normally would buy. I'm usually a medium but small fits me perfectlyHighly recommend especially if you can get it on offer and not pay the RRP of £90+

Love the jacket - smart and nice fit
Excellent quality jacket and looks really smart. I do think it is well over priced and should only retail at about £80 or so. Other than that, love the jacket

First impressions- Update
Jacket quality regarding stitching and overall finish is excellent. Defiantly the real deal. The back of the jacket at the hem is slightly longer which to be honest I don't like, why do they do that on these type of jackets? There’s cord around the hem which can be pulled from inside the front pockets which sort of gets rid of it. There is also a button in the lining at each side of the hem which when pushed returns the hem to its original state smart idea. The hood has a draw string at the back which makes the edge of the hood tighter giving a better fit. The problem is the draw string then hangs down at the back of the hood not good especially when the hood and the draw string are different colours. I managed to tie the extra string under the flap at the back to try and hide it. It's quite warm although I have not worn it in very cold conditions. Getting to the size I ordered an XS and that was big especially in the arm length I wore a t shirt and jumper underneath and that made is about right in body size but with a t shirt on its own it feels big ,so I would advise getting the next size down. Have not worn it in any rain so no comment. The hood is fixed and cannot be folded away which I like as it makes the collar smaller some of these jackets seem to have massive collars around the neck and chin. The cuffs are elasticated which again I think is good as some times the Velcro cuffs” catch” on the pockets when putting your hands in or out. The logo is printed on not sewn .Overall you’re paying for the name but you are a getting a quality product just wish the arm length was shorter.UpdateWore it out in heavy rain and a strong wind walked for about 20-25mins when I took it off my t shirt underneath was completly dry. The hood, once adjusted, stayed on even in a strong wind, fits close to the face so there is less chance of wind blowing it off. Drys very fast as the rain does not soak into the material. Very pleased

Good value
Bought a small for my tall 14 year old. Fits pertect. Waterproof but not warm does need hoody/ fleece underneath. Good hood and nice length. Rolls up and fits in school bag. £40 cheaper on Amazon than on high street. Good buy.

Quest review after 4 months use
Tried and tested.Light weight but really waterproof. Not really that warm now on it's own, this time of year, but I wear a bodywarmer underneath when dog walking and it does the job well. Zip can be a bit fiddly to start with, but ease it in gently and it works fine. Large side pockets with a fine mesh inner. Does what I wanted it to do and keeps you dry. TNF sizes can be a bit on the large side, but you have room to layer up and not feel cramped. Overall I'm well pleased with it and bought another one in a different colour. Keep an eye on the prices, as they can vary a lot from day to day. Got mine for £50.

Waterproof Jacket
I bought this as a replacement jacket for my husband who had torn the original North Face jacket that he loved.I feel that it represented good value for money and it goes well with the original fleece that he still retained.

Great lightweight jacket
Perfect to wear it for trekking or hiking, it is lightweight, but it keeps you warm and it also is waterproof, so it is a win-win.The quality material is as expected from North Face. I would definitely recommend it, the only downside, it is a bit pricy.

Kept me dry
Bought the Taupe Green/ Black jacket in Large. I am a size Large and this is a good fit. The sleeves are a good length and though it feels quite fitted when on, the jacket actually has quite a bit of room under it without being baggy, so you could easily fit other warm layers under it. Personally I would prefer it to be a bit longer at the back if I was wearing it just as an overcoat, but worn with waterproof leggings there would be no issues in the rain. The zip does fasten up in the opposite way to normal UK jackets but that is no issue. Overall, the jacket looks quite stylish and more importantly appeared more than up to keeping me dry in the recent rains.
