100 Words Kids Need to Read by 2nd Grade

Good and fun for kids to learn grade appropriate vocabulary

Definitely worth the few bucks, same size booklet as printer paper

Was not sure what to expect. I just know that now that it’s summer and the kids all seemed to lose out from “zoom school” so I wanted some kind of supplement to make sure my kids were caught up and where they should be. This book was fun for my 8 year old who is going into 3rd grade. I think it’s great for processing also because it’s not just a book of words. It’s word activities. And, some you do have to explain a bit but mostly good for the grade level.

As some of the other reviewers have already said it’s a very short workbook. 24 pages to be exact with a game at the end. Still I thought it was a fun workbook. My kiddo did not hate doing it. We did 2 pages a day with other more boring work books that were harder. I think we liked this workbook bc it’s in color and not as difficult. My kiddo will be starting 2nd grade in the fall so I purchased the 2nd grade level. It was actually perfect for her maybe on the easier side, which was ok with me bc this was the fun practice book. If your kiddo is very advanced you may want to consider getting a grade higher.Anyways I am definitely going to buy the next grade. I do wish it had more pages so 1 star off for that, otherwise I would highly recommend this.

good for the money

I tutor kids in our community. Reading has become the focus. Many children are struggling. They enjoy the worksheets and it’s good practice for the kids.

It is challenging for her but that’s what I like about it. She doesn’t give up and keeps trying.

I bought this for my son to work on during the summer. He will be going into the second grade and I don’t want him to lose the sight words he learned in the first grade. He didn’t think he would like it but we did the first group of sight words and he LOVED it. It’s an easy read and also easy directions to follow. We worked on read and this 30 minutes a day and he couldn’t wait to do it the next day.
