I'm not celiac and not "allergic" to wheat based on the Allergist report but I've suffered about 2 years cronic sinus infections that came every 6-8 weeks and had to be treated with antibiotics. I cut all wheat out of my diet about a year and half ago and have not had a infection sense. My 8 yr old has suffered last 4 years with a sensitivity to wheat when he eats it he gets extremely hyper and unable to concentrate and perform even simple tasks; he and I cut all wheat from our diet about a year and a half ago and his symptoms have gone away completely. **Review** with such sever reactions to wheat for my son and I we can take these pills and go out for a hamburger, 2-3 pieces of pizza or have a donut every now and then with no side effects. I also purchased some sweet potato sunchips and ate some without realizing they had wheat even though I checked the lable quick in the store. Took 2 pills and I had a much less reaction than if I had not. I recommend as an adult at 180lb to start with 2 pills. Also my 8yr old son about 50lbs needs to take 2 as 1 wasn't enough to curb the reaction. Highly recommend and always keep stash at home and in purse!

I have a senstitivity to gluten. Even consuming a small amount gives me raging acid reflux. I bought this to try it over the weekend when I wanted to enjoy beer and pizza with friends. I took 2 capsules before supper and experienced none of the usual negative side effects from eating gluten. This product is a winner!

GLAD to have found this!!! I am NOT "celiac" but when it was discovered I now have an allergic reaction to wheat/gluten, I had tested as "borderline celiac". It was bad. I was miserable. After a few months of a strictly gluten free diet, I was able to "cheat" and eat a little now and then and not react like I was poisoned or blow up a visible inch or two... but soon I was cheating more and more often until it was daily and I needed help. I tried "GLUTEN EASE" and thought it was wonderful... but after a while it was letting me down (and it's expensive). So I supplemented it with a Gluten Digest product from "NOW" brands and it did the trick! In fact I learned it worked better by itself than with the Gluten Ease product. So I started taking the "NOW" brand for awhile. Again, after a time it started letting me down. So I tried this. This works great!! It's cheaper too! -- And it helps my husband with his dairy/digestive issues too! Now, I'm assuming that like the other 2 products, I'll abuse the "cheat" enough for this product to stop working so well too - it could perhaps happen - might happen to you too. BUT, until that day, I think this product is a real FIND and the price is so much better than "Gluten Ease". (I also like that it comes packaged in a way to make it easy to put it in my purse and just pop one out when I need it if I'm eating away from home). I totally recommend you try this if your situation sounds similar to mine. (I have yet to find a gluten free bread that is worth eating! So I will "cheat" as long as possible!) PS - If you have a gluten allergy, you have my full sympathy -- it's in pretty much everything good and super hard to live without if you love food like I do. One tip to help make it easier for you, purchase the SCHAR brand of gluten free pasta - it's awesome, and you (and everyone else) will think it's regular pasta from the taste, texture and how to cook it. These are amazing! I have celiac disease and I get nervous about eating out because you never know where gluten is hiding. These make me feel normal so I can go out without worrying about being glutened. I can take one - two depending on the meal and how my digestion has been. I have not had any issues since I got these. I carry a few with me at all times, especially when I’m traveling. They are easy to swallow but can be opened and added to water if you’re not good with pills. They are to be taken just before or at the time you eat. I try not to take them for more than one meal, but have used them for several meals a day over a few days when I’m traveling, just in case. They don’t have any side effects, no pain or after effects, just normal digestion after eating!

I went with three stars because I think it worked, but it's hard to know for sure. I was sure grateful to have it as an option, and took it at every meal in India. Seriously folks, I cannot afford to have ANY gluten, or it's MISERABLE for days. So, I didn't get those symptoms . . . maybe this worked, or maybe I was just good and careful (which yes, I was VERY careful in India). The good: It's wonderful that these products exist to help those of us with major gluten sensitivities reduce anxiety and avoid collateral damage. I would like to see this include some of the protective probiotic strains, such as S. Boularrdi. But, maybe that would have been cost-prohibitive. So I brought my own with me for prophylaxis. Also, the cost is MUCH LESS than other brands on Amazon. The bad: My BIGGEST complaint is that this stuff tastes very gross! I've never had a supplement that tasted really nasty as soon as it hit my tongue. And the taste lingered. Think 'taste of melted plastic'. Wretched! And makes me quite suspicious.

This is super effective. I accidentally ate some gluten recently and had a few of these that a friend had given me. I popped one and felt better within a short time.

As expected, does the job for someone we had over for a week and is allergic to gluten. Just was surprised that I bought from Amazon.ca and it came from the U.S..... So was stopped and opened at customs and took a long time to arrive.
