LIME CRIME Velvetines Liquid Lipstick - Salem

I adore all Limecrime products, and expecially this specific product. The colour is so pigmented and smooth. However this is WAY overpriced and the delivery took a long time. I will 100% order this product again, but not from this seller or amazon.

Velvetines lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas EVER. It's not drying and touch dry with no smudging or smearing or bleeding. This colour is incredible and really suits my indian skin tone. I think this would suit every skin tone, and it comes up a chocolate brown on me. Would definitely recommend it!

This is an amazing lipstick. There are more than enough reviews on youtube for you to see it in action. If you have the Chestnut lip liner from Mac, it is the exact same shade as that. It stays on all night, very little transfer but not impossible. I will repurchase this when it runs out but i'd imagine it lasting me a year, easy. I also have Black velvet and Wicked and they are all head turners!

Amazing colour, very good quality, it stays for hours on your lips in a perfect way....a dream lipstick in my opinion, if you like very bold colours.

It was a good product, however, it is over priced as ebay and lime crime original website do it a lot cheaper.

This lipstick is brilliant! I absolutely love it. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because it's expensive. It's a rip off!

From what I can see it is a fake product however it is a very good fake and Its a lovely colour, waterproof, smudge proof and smells nice. I did a patch test on my skin and got no irritation, I would recommend this to at least try out the colour.

I bought this lipstick for my daughter for Christmas so haven't used it myself. I have given it a 5 star rating because if my daughter had a problem she would let me know instantly and she hasn't said anything negative about it, so it must be everything she thought it would be . GREAT

I do love this color (Salem). It is a pretty dark brown color with a slight hint of a red hue. It's like a 90s version of the shade 'Wicked" I think. I bought Salem and Wicked together because I love the brown shade of Salem but I also couldnt resist that beautiful deep red shade of Wicked. I love both equally. I am an ultra pale chick and I rock these.Photos attached: 1st one is Salem and Wicked without flash, second one is both colors with flash. These photos show the product after its dried completely and one coat of product.The formula: it is a liquid to matte formula. Yes, it is a bit drying, but if you're gonna rock a matte lipstick, you will have to deal with a bit of dryness. I will give you a warning/what not to do: one day I had the unbrilliant idea to add some of my Smith's rosebud salve (its basically a lip gloss) over Salem to see what would happen. I mean, I knew what was gonna happen..I just wanted to experiment. Adding a gloss or balm over these will cause a not so good effect and the velvetine will not last long. It looks pretty with a gloss over it but a gloss will cut the wear of the velvetine but like 60%.Compared to other brands of liquid to matte: My all time fave liquid to matte is KatVonD but these velvetines come in close to first. These are a tad bit more drying than Kat's formula. The velvetines also tend to get that "ring" effect more..you know, the effect where the inside of your lips loses the product but the outer lip retains the product? This is naturally caused by the moisture of your mouth causing the product to rub off, but Kat's formula doesn't cause this ring effect as much as lime crime.Overall, I like this. I really do. It's worth it because it is very long wearing. I highly recommend carrying the tube with you all day for touch ups because after you eat, you'll need a touch up. And always use straws when drinking to avoid the product disappearing on your inner lip area.

Wow! This lipstick exceeded my expectations. I kept hearing about this brand but though it was a bit pricey just for a lipstick but now I know why everyone raves about it. Holy smokes is it awesome and I want it in every color. First off the packaging and container it comes in is super adorable. I know some people mentioned that the smell was to much for them. Well, I loved it. It's light with a hint of sweetness to it that is extremely pleasant.I ordered the color in Salem and it is a highly pigmented bold color. It's like a brownish red with more on the brown side. Because the color dries with a matte finish I always put coconut oil on my lips beforehand just to seal in moisture. The color really glides on and what I did was put on a light first coat so it didn't bleed into my foundation. After that dried I went in and filled in any spots i missed and did a second layer all over. When it dries the finish is beautiful and bold.What I was really curious about was how it was going to come off. I've had dark lipsticks stain my lips to bad it took an entire day to finally fade away. Not with this one. I washed it off easily and my lips were not stained at all to my surprise. Amazing product and a $20 well spent!! I can't wait to get the rest of my colors in.
