Every day sometime around 1pm or 1:30pm, I start getting a headache. When I went to the doctor to discuss with her, we came to a few conclusions. The first one was that it was almost certainly generated by working at a computer screen all day every day, and that 5 to 6 hours is the limit before it starts to cause a headache. The other conclusion was that I could take Advil every day to combat it, or I could try a more alternative type of approach. My doctor suggested a nap at that time of day with something covering my eyes to alleviate the head pain. I searched online for some options and found the WonderFamily store and a cap made specifically for the issue I went to the doctor for. I have been putting it on each day since I received it at my lunch time and have been able to refresh my eyes and body in that period. Usually I end up dozing off for a few minutes but somehow my headache tapers off in that 30 minute period and I am able to get back in front of that computer and work the rest of the day with no issues. This couldn’t have arrived on a better day. We’re having our roof replaced and the pounding has been going on since soon after dawn this morning. The roofers are pounding nails and my head is pounding some ache! Upon opening the box, I immediately tossed this item into the freezer for a quick chill. I didn’t wait the full 2 hours as the package directed but found that less time worked quite well for me. The cap does appear that it will fit pretty much anyone as there is some stretch to it. I especially like the “Shh, Don’t Disturb” screen printed on it. A fun touch. The only thing that was surprising and perhaps a little confusing to me is that there is an expiration date listed on the package. It has a date of a little over a year from now. I didn’t realize there was/is a life span on these types of items. What happens after that date? Does the gel no longer work? Will I need to toss it away? Questions. I have questions.

The gel inside gets cold quick and stays cold when your using it, and lets little to no light inside when wearing it. I haven't experienced any leaking from it, and seems to be durable enough and well made. It fits comfortably... I'd recommend it! It's just as advertised and is really easy to use...

These are super ice cold when they come out of the freezer! It has a soft shell with a squishy gel feel. They stretch snugly over the head creating a nice, ice cold, compression feeling around the entire head. They remain cold long enough for me, maybe 10 mins. But 10 mins is long enough to get immediate relief before switching to longer lasting gel pack. I have a couple of these, so the one thing I'll note is that the top of this is open so you can pull longer hair through it, unlike some of the other styles that has a fabric cap.

I've used many ice packs on my head, for hot days, after a strenuous workout, headaches or sickness, but when I saw there was a icepack cap just for your head I had to give it a try. This Migraine Relief Cap fits wonderfully and is adjustable. It freezes quickly (about 15 minutes) and stay cold longer than many other ice packs I've used. I'd save 15-20 minutes at a temperature that is actually beneficial. The hook and loop closure has a strong hold, but still comfortable. It can fit comfortably over the eye and has a cutout for the nose or can fit above the eye so you can still see. I have since bought a second one and start with the one over the eyes and then have the next one ready. I highly recommend this ice pack. It is durable and should last a very long time.
