I was having doubts about ordering this product since window safety is not the place where you want to compromise. Well, it exceeded my expectations. Installation was easy and the windows are well secured. My husband and I took turns testing the windows in our house and the cords held up well and secured as expected.

I bought these because my autistic son keeps trying to climb out the windows and leave. I needed an immediate solution. Arrived quick (thank you Amazon), easy to install, affordable. We installed one on each side of the lower part of the windows so that there would be even pressure on each side when he tried to open them. Anyhow, he can open the windows a couple inches, but he can’t climb out, which is really important because we live by many dangers. We can also easily still open the windows from the top for fresh air.I definitely recommend. I wish I had know about these years ago.

I used these as extra door locks as I have a 5 year old that likes to prove his independence by sneaking out of doors. The screws were small enough to drill into the door without going through and have held up well. I probably should have used anchors on the other side, but what's done is done. Lesson learned. They very easy to install. Very self explanatory. The keys they come with are small enough to keep in your pocket without getting annoyed. I'll be moving in a few months to a home with slider windows so I'll probably buy some more for those.

Very effective in securing windows...especially if you have kids.

I used only two out of four locks. The quality is good. It does the job of limiting my window opening distance.

I bought these to limit how far our casement windows could be opened. I received the product and thought they seem well made and durable, I can’t see how these could be used with screens. Since screens are a requirement in Michigan I will be returning and looking for an alternate solution.Bottom line:I’m sure they’d work well for the right application but I don’t believe casements with screens is one of them.

I bought this for my friends autistic daughter. This worked perfectly. It was installed in minutes and has kept the kiddo inside. Everyone sleeps better at night

Each item comes with a different key (while previous reviews indicated that the same key could be used to open ALL 4 locks). However, two of the four locks were shipped with the wrong keys!! As a result, I have two locks in place with their corresponding keys and another two that cannot be opened or locked.

I had to install these for child safety and believe me when I say that this product gave me so much relief. My son is 13 is strong enough to break windows but somehow couldn’t figure these out!!

I got these for my toddler’s window since they’ve since discovered how the latch works. I feel so much better that they can’t open the window and possibly fall out now!I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness, I didn’t expect the cord to be so heavy !

I trust that the window will restrict the amount it's open

We have side-opening windows. This could save a childs life. Easy to install.
